3.1 Audits of Existing In-house
Clinical Engineering Services
Conducting audits at the local or regional level. Proposals and
recommendations for restructuring or reorganizing are provided if
required to in the effort to increase efficiencies and effectiveness.
Study of all cost containment tools currently available for clinical
equipment management and their tradeoffs. Understanding that no
single tool provides optimal performance, all tools may be considered
including service contracts; shared agreements; maintenance insurance;
self-insured risk management. An asset management study can be performed
to draw a picture of a cost effective maintenance plan.
3.2
Planning / Implementation of a Clinical Engineering Service
Design, Develop, and assist in implementing a Biomedical / Clinical
Engineering Department with a technology maintenance program specifically
suited for needs of the organization and the technology it utilizes.
3.3 Training
Design and develop Clinical Equipment Training Programs for both
Clinical and Technical Healthcare staff.
